A Syrah lovers delight! Made from 100% Syrah grapes, hand-picked at the end of March. After pressing and fermentation, this wine was aged for 6 months in a mix of 70% French and 30% American new oak barrels, giving it great structure and a subtle hint of vanilla. 6 months rest in the bottle allowed this wine’s complexity to fully develop.

Tempus Alba Syrah
Region: Maipú, Mendoza
Food: Having a BBQ and want a wine to match your grilled asparagus, sausages and steaks? This Syrah is ideal as it loves smokey flavours. But surprisingly this Syrah also works very well with stronger greens like spinach and kale so it’s actually fantastic with a range of vegetarian food. The slightly sweet edge to this Syrah is also great with teriyaki, miso or chili flavours.
Tasting Notes: This is a grown-up juicy wine. Gorgeous earthy tones come through like leather and smoke, vanilla and tobacco. Liquorice, a little cinnamon and anise. Black fruit and a dark purple red colour dominate. Medium-big bodied, intact tannins and a great smooth long finish.
