A unique and exciting blend, in fact "crazy" as its name in French indicates, of five grape varietals but excluding Malbec. The grapes in there are 25% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Cabernet Franc, 20% Petit Verdot, and 9% Syrah. Half of the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, and the other half left to develop in stainless steel tanks to keep the fruit. The result is a wine of freshness, complexity and elegance.
This wine is suitable for vegans.
Antucura La Folie
Type: Red
Grape: 25% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Cabernet Franc, 20% Petit Verdot, 9% Syrah
Year: 2015
ABV: 14%
Region: Valle De Uco, Mendoza
Food: Chicken, pork and game are ideal but this classy wine also works with beef, lamb, stronger mushrooms, pasta and most light to medium cheeses. We love it with a courgette and mushroom vegetable lasagne.
Tasting Notes: Juicy flavours of red berries, spices and herbs with a long finish. Not a heavy wine, a little drier than other wines from Uco and quite French in style. It's therefore perfect with food.
