It is very rare that you will find Sangiovese grown outside of Italy, you have no doubt come across it from drinking Chianti and some of the super Tuscans. It produces lighter styles of wine and this Argentinian version is a superb example of that. The vineyard is located at 1,100m above sea level in the Los Chacayes area of the Uco Valley, where the temperature swing between day and night ensures great quality fruit.
If you are looking for a more medium bodied wine with an excellent balance of fruit flavours with earthy components then this is the one for you.
DYAS Sangiovese 2023
Type: Red
Grape: Sangiovese
Year: 2023
ABV: 13.5%
Region: Tunuyan, Valle De Uco, Mendoza
Food: Because of its medium body and savoury notes this wine will pair with a wide range of foods. Try it with dishes that have plenty of herbs, or try tomato based dishes. Obviously Italian cusine is a good match.
Tasting Notes: On the fruit side there are lots of cherry and red plum flavours; beautiful integrated with notes of tomato, oregano, thyme, and a hint of leather. Delicious!
