95% Petit Verdot, 2.5% Granache Noir and 2.5% Carignan grapes, all planted in the "San Alberto” vineyard on quartz soil. The quartz soil gives the wine its name as well as its unique earthy characteristics. Fermented and aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, prior to resting in the bottle for another 24 months.
The critics adore this wine and it’s easy to see why. It could comfortably give Chateau Palmer a run for its money. This wine is a fantastic Petit Verdot.
