After such a fun Oxford Wine Festival 2021 we thought it would be a good idea to offer everyone the chance to buy three of the most popular at the event at a tasty discount.

In no particular order they were:

Accuro Cabernet Franc 2019

Like a fabulous young British tennis player this wine was a huge hit at it's debut festival. Lovely flavours of red plums, blackberry and a hint of roasted peppers come through from the Cab Franc, whilst the addition of a little Malbec and Cabernet  Sauvignon provides a little extra richness and body to the wine. The problem with it is that it is a just a little too easy to drink!!

Altamira Reserve Malbec 2017

There was a lot of heart break when this smooth and classy Malbec sold out early on. The grapes for this outstanding wine come from two vineyards in the Uco Valley. Firstly the La Consulta Old Vines which are nearly 70 years old contributing lots of rich red and blue fruit flavours to the wine. Secondly the vines in the La Consulta vineyard are a mere 25+ years old and bring more minerality and balance.

The inspired pairing of the two, plus 14 months in French oak barrels, produces a beautifully balanced wine that is soft and smooth with good acidity and a fine finish. Drink now or lay it down for another 10 years.

Tempus Alba Pleno 2016

No real surprise with this wine being on the list, it is consistently one of our best sellers and we sold many cases at the Oxford Wine Festival. A blend of 65% Malbec and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes; the Malbec vines are 60-years-old, the Cabernet 18-years. Aged for 15 months in 90% French and 10% American oak barrels in order to let the wine develop its incredible structure.

This wine needs around an hour to breath before you can experience its full glory. If you can restrain yourself then it will also age beautifully.
