A blend of 65% Malbec and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes; the Malbec vines are 60-years-old, the Cabernet 22-years. Aged for 12 months in 90% French and 10% American oak barrels in order to let the wine develop its incredible structure. Then bottle aged for at least another 8 months. This wine needs around an hour to breath before you can experience its full glory. If you can restrain yourself then it will also age beautifully.
This wine is suitable for vegans.
Tempus Alba Pleno
Type: Red
Grape: 65% Malbec, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon
Year: 2016
ABV: 14%
Region: Maipú, Mendoza
Food: This exceptional blend can be drunk without food, if left to breathe for at least an hour. But similar to bigger oaked Malbecs the Pleno is a perfect accompaniment to beef, slow cooked lamb, roasted vegetables, strong blue cheese and even dark chocolate.
Tasting Notes: The nose has hints of leather, chocolate, spices and oak toast and the taste includes raspberries, blueberries, cinnamon and vanilla. Big but soft tannins and a long long finish.
