100% Malbec grapes harvested in the middle of March from vines that are over 30 years-old located in Lujan de Cuyo. Following fermentation in stainless steel vats the wine went straight to the bottle and was allowed to rest for 6 months before release. This is an outstanding value wine, easy drinking and certainly one of our most popular.
This wine is vegan.
Tempus Alba Loco Malbec
Type: Red
Grape: Malbec
Year: 2020
ABV: 14%
Region: Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza
Food: All things red meat and feisty cheeses are perfect partners for the Loco. But also stronger tasting vegetarian food like vegan red bean chilli, portobello grilled mushrooms with blue cheese, nachos and even dishes with Chinese spices. And don’t let on but it’s fabulous on its own. Ever tried the Malbec only diet?
Tasting Notes: Could be underselling this wine to just say “it tastes great” but it actually does. It’s big, rich purple red, full on nose, of course black fruit and raspberry comes through with a topping of raisin. For an unoaked wine the Loco packs quite a punch with in tact tannins and a medium to long smooth finish.
