A superb Cabernet Sauvignon, very much up there with the best Argentina has to offer. The touch of green pepper is very typical of the grapes grown in the Mendoza region.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, hand picked at the beginning of April. Matured for 6 months in 70% French oak and 30% American oak barrels, giving the wine its hint of toasted balsamic notes on the finish, before being rested for at least 6 months in its bottle.

This wine is suitable for vegans.

Tempus Alba Cabernet Sauvignon

£18.00Price
  • Type: Red

    Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon

    Year: 2018

    ABV: 14%

    Region: Maipú, Mendoza

Food: Lamb with roasted garlic and vegetables would be an obvious choice for this stunning CS. But any red meat or even game and pork would pair well. Just avoid peppery sauces as this essence comes from the wine itself. For vegetarians sweat and sour flavours or umami such as mushrooms are ideal. This wine would lift a lasagne or pizza night to another level.

Tasting Notes: An intense ruby red. Aromas of red fruits, spicy pepper with a hint of vanilla and plum. Beautifully balanced and structured, with ripe tannins on the finish. We recommend giving this wine a few minutes of air, in the glass or decanter, to really see how the tannins soften and the wine opens up.
