This blend is one our Ruta40 favorites, and it has stiff competition. A delicious sophisticated blend at a very affordable price.


Bodega Lagarde was first established in 1897 and has been managed by the Pescarmona family since 1970. 

This wine is a blend of Syrah, Malbec, and Petit Verdot from their vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza. Half of the wine has been aged for between 8 and 10 months in French oak barrels.

    Food: A wine that is great for both red and white meats; different kinds of pasta; and a fully packed cheese board.

    Tasting Notes: It has a bluish red colour, with notes of spices, red fruits, tobacco and smoke. Lovely and elegant in the mouth with smooth tannins, excellent structure, and a long finish
