60% Malbec and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is aged for 15 months, 30% of it in American and 70% in French oak barrels. It’s then bottle-aged for at least another year giving it plenty of time to fully develop its complexity. The Malbec gives this wine its big, fruity nose and softens the peppery notes from the Cabernet. The Cabernet provides much of the depth and the long finish. Together they create an outstanding blend.
La Azul Reserva
Grape: 60% Malbec, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Tupungato, Mendoza
Food: This mellow blend screams "drink me at your BBQ". It pairs easily with roasted vegetables, onions, mushrooms, sausages, burgers and cheese.
Tasting Notes: This Reserva has a very deep red hue similar to Morello cherries. At the nose it is very intense with red and forest fruits and pepper, assembled with aromas of vanilla and chocolate.
