The Syrah vines are located in Alto Agrelo in Mendoza and are the oldest that Finca La Anita have, obviously making Syrah their oldest varietal and their flagship wine. Fermented in stainless steel tanks at carefully controlled temperatures and then aged for 12 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels. Drink now, or will age for a few more years.

Finca La Anita Syrah

  • Type: Red

    Grape: Syrah

    Year: 2011

    ABV: 14.9%

    Region: Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza

Food: Red meats are ideal with this Syrah as are roasted vegetables and risotto. Portobello mushroom burgers, rich BBQ sauces, medium to strong cheeses and dark chocolate all work with the slightly spicy sweet notes. This can also be enjoyed without food.

Tasting Notes: A purple ruby red colour and medium intensity with tobacco, chocolate and green pepper aromas leading to black fruit  flavours. The finish is dry and smooth, medium to long. Very drinkable.
