This Albarino is from the North West Atlantic coast of Galicia, Spain. These vineyards are within sight of the sea and are owned by a number of smaller growers some with holdings as small as half a hectare. They use traditional techniques in the vineyard like using clam and cockle shells for fertiliser on the vines. This wine is great with seafood, obviously!
Esencia Divina Albarino
Region: Rias Baixas
Food: Great as an aperitif and also pairs well with all seafood.
Tasting Notes: The best grapes are hand picked from the vines and then a final selection is done at the winery. Straw yellow in colour, it has aromas of apples, pears, and elderberry. In the mouth there are citrus flavours, some stone fruits, a hint of salinity and good acidity.
