This Malbec comes from a vineyard located in Maipú, Mendoza, positioned where great sun exposure allows for perfect ripening of the fruit. The grapes were hand picked in the last week of March, de-stemmed and crushed, and then fermented in steel tanks for 10 days. Next 20% of the wine was aged In American oak barrels for 2 months before bottling.
This Malbec is super popular and we regularly reorder. The brother and sister team behind Aranwa consistently make highly quality but very reasonably priced wine.
Aranwa Malbec
Type: Red
Grape: Malbec
Year: 2020
ABV: 13.5%
Region: Maipú, Mendoza
Food: Simply prepared beef and slow cooked lamb are ideal with this Malbec. For meat free meals, wild mushroom risotto or vegetarian toad-in-the-hole (using plant based sausages) would be a delicious combination.
Tasting Notes: This is a slightly drier and lighter style of Malbec, showing off red fruits on the nose and palate. Only a touch of oak aging comes through, complimenting the berry flavours and tannins.
