The Malbec grapes that make this wine come from a 100 year old vineyard in the district of Perdriel, just south of Mendoza city. Sitting at 900m above sea level, with alluvial soil and flood irrigation, the vines produce the very highest quality fruit to go into this outstanding wine.
The grapes were de-stemmed and crushed, then fermentation was in stainless steel tanks at 27-29C for 12 days, before the wine then went into French oak barrels for 15 months.
The result is a truly top class wine that will age beautifully for at least the next 10 years. Go on, treat yourself.
