The eponymous Vina Alicia was set up by Alicia Arizu and her son Rodrigo as a premium chateau in 1996, turning out beautifully crafted Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot varietals, as well as unique and spectacular Argentine interpretations of Nebbiolo, Grenache Noir and Carignan.
Across two separate vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo, Alicia describes her plots as ‘among the most wanted land in the world.’ The climate is Mediterranean, the rain scarce and the soil sandy - pretty much perfect for growing vines and making great wine.
The Alicia Malbec is a case in point: lush and deep through care and aging in French oak casking, an ‘outstanding personality of the wine world.’
At Ruta 40, we're delighted to bring Vina Alicia to connoisseurs, investors, and bon viveurs alike. Enjoy.
